Elephant Falls
Elephant Falls is one of the famous waterfalls of Meghalaya. This place can be put on the must-watch list there. The name of this spring was named after a large stone shaped like an elephant that was here. However, the Elephant Rock was broken during the earthquake in Meghalaya, but the name remains. Elephant Falls is extremely beautiful. The greenery and peaceful atmosphere around it are captivating. If you are fond of adventure sports, then this place is the best for you. Trekking can also be done here. You can visit Elephant Falls from 10 AM to 6 PM. The entry fee at this place is twenty to thirty rupees per person.
Sweet Falls
One of the highest waterfalls in Meghalaya is Sweet Waterfall. This place is extremely beautiful, but many people are afraid to come here as it is at a very high altitude. It means that if you want to visit Sweet Falls, then taking great care is the first condition. Locals say that this place is also haunted. Many people have had strange experiences here, so everyone avoids going there. The ground here is slippery, so you should not take the risk of going near the falls, you can see the falls from a distance. There are many folk tales about the Sweet Falls, but the place is so beautiful that tourists visit it with local guides and vehicles with caution. The time to visit here is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Wah Kaba Falls
Wah Kaba Falls is one of the other beautiful waterfalls of Meghalaya. Wah Kaba is a deep waterfall. Here, along with the waterfall, the surrounding scenery is also very scenic. Of course, it is more appropriate to come to this place during the monsoon season, because the beauty of Wah Kaba is immense during the monsoon. Wah Kaba is called the must-watch waterfall of the monsoon season. Here you can come from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After five o'clock, this place has to be vacated.
