Drass Valley

Drass Valley in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir is considered the gateway to Ladakh. If you want to go to Ladakh, you will have to go through Drass Valley in Kargil. It is worth mentioning that Drass Valley played an important role during the Kargil War. In 1999, the Pakistani army started bombing Drass and surrounding villages. They wanted to capture this place, but our soldiers gave a strong fight and recaptured the Drass Valley, which was captured by the Pakistanis in the Kargil war. How to go?

Most people use the air route to go to Kargil. From the airport in Leh, you can reach Kargil by road. There is no railway facility here. To reach Kargil, you can come to Leh by taking a flight from Jammu and Delhi. The road to Kargil is open throughout the year, so you can come to this place anytime. Many people also come from Srinagar, but the Srinagar road gets closed during the winter season.
